CD Projekt Red accidentally leaks the plot of the first Cyberpunk 2077 expansion pack
CD Projekt Red has kept its word about supporting Cyberpunk 2077 for the near future. The recently deployed Patch 1.52 comprised brought a few QoL upgrades, but the developers teased that the game would get more content soon. However, the update inadvertently spoiled the contents of the expansion, which was promptly discovered by data miners on Reddit (via VGC).
The yet-to-be-named Cyberpunk 2077 expansion has a total of seven quests. Some of the missions take place in the sealed-off areas in Pacifica, and completing one NPC's questline unlocks an entirely new ending. This post is spoiler-free, but feel free to browse through the data-mined files (or Reddit post) for more information. It has several text files full of dialog that can be used to paint an accurate picture of the plot.
CD Projekt Red didn't specify exactly when the Cyberpunk 2077 expansion would hit shelves. However, one can rest easy knowing that it is being worked upon and likely in the final stages of development. On the flip side, this leak could force CD Projekt Red to go back to the drawing board and rewrite the plot from the ground up, although that is an unlikely scenario.
