Most Feiyu Pocket 4 gimbal camera specs have been revealed - it’s a budget-friendly alternative to the DJI Osmo Pocket 4. Moving away from the modular design of the Feiyu Pocket 3, this new model features a much larger 50MP 1/1.55-inch sensor, 64GB of built-in storage, and a huge 2.64-inch touchscreen. With 450-degree rotation and AI tracking, it challenges DJI's dominance by offering pro vlogging features at a projected $300-350 price point.

FeiyuTech is a Chinese company that’s been making budget alternatives to DJI’s Osmo Pocket series for many years now, with the last version being the Feiyu Pocket 3 (launched in 2023).

Set to be officially unveiled between May 15-18, the new Feiyu Pocket 4 represents a major shift in direction for FeiyuTech, moving away from the quirky, modular experiment of its predecessor toward an "all-in-one" - better fitted to take on the DJI Osmo Pocket 4.

Listed on FeiyuTech’s website, some of the specs reveal the departure from the Feiyu Pocket 3’s detachable camera head. While the Pocket 3 was a versatile "remote" camera with a tiny 0.42-inch screen, the Pocket 4 prioritizes a massive 2.64-inch rotatable touchscreen (that’s larger than the Osmo Pocket 4’s 2-inch screen), which slides to protect the gimbal head.

The Feiyu Pocket 4 has a massive (for a gimbal camera) 2.64-inch screen - a huge upgrade over the Feiyu Pocket 3's 0.42-inch display, and larger than the Osmo Pocket 4's 2-inch panel.

Feiyu Pocket 4 specs revealed before launch: Brings massive upgrades over the modular Feiyu Pocket 3

  • Sensor & resolution: The Pocket 4 jumps from a tiny 12MP 1/2.3-inch sensor to a much larger 1/1.55-inch sensor capable of 50MP stills; FeiyuTech promises 4x digital zoom
  • Storage: While the Feiyu Pocket 3 relied entirely on microSD cards, the Feiyu Pocket 4 introduces 64GB of built-in storage (like the Osmo Pocket 4, which has 128GB of storage)
  • Range of motion: According to FeiyuTech, the new Pocket 4 boasts an industry-leading 450-degree pan rotation, which even the Osmo Pocket 4 can’t match
  • 1,300 mAh battery with 80% charge in 30 min; up to 150 minutes video recording
  • AI tracking and gesture control
  • Slow motion, Motion lapse, Panorama modes (unspecified resolution and frame rates)
The Feiyu Pocket 4 can record video at up to 4K/60fps.

Can Feiyu Pocket 4 shake up the gimbal camera market with a more affordable price tag than Osmo Pocket 4 and Insta360 Luna Ultra?

All in all, it looks like the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 and Insta360 Luna Ultra will be the default luxury pocket cameras of 2026, thanks to their premium design and 1-inch sensors. However, the Feiyu Pocket 4 will try to shake things up with an innovative design and a more affordable price tag.

Expected to launch at around $300/€300 (if the price of the Feiyu Pocket 3 is anything to go by), the Feiyu Pocket 4 can record video at up to 4K/60fps with AI tracking, which might make it the ideal entry point for those who want an Osmo Pocket 4 for less.

As a reminder, the Feiyu Pocket 3 was sold on Amazon US and Amazon Germany (including other European countries). Stay tuned for the official unveiling set for May 15-18 at the China P&E fair in Beijing, when all Feiyu Pocket 4 specs and details should be revealed.

Considering the starting price of the Feiyu Pocket 3 Remote Handle Kit has been hovering around the €300/$300 mark since launch, the new version isn’t expected to cost much more.
