Deal | Bose QuietComfort Headphones (Gen 1) drop to $169, nearly $200 off

Bose released the second generation QuietComfort Headphones in August, but it still sells the first generation that was released a few years ago. If you are on the search for a pair of quality headphones that don't break the bank, then on-going deal on the first gen model is worth checking out.

The Bose QuietComfort Headphones (1st Gen) sold for $359 when they launched in 2023, but with the 2nd gen model launching at the same price, it is only right that the 1st gen headphones get discounted. That's the case as they are currently on sale for $169, a whopping $190 off their launch price.

This new discount comes a couple of months after an earlier deal that saw the headphones sell for $229. So if you didn't purchase them then, now is a better time to do so. In addition, considering these are premium headphones that are now sold for the same price as mid-range models, you sure are getting a good deal.

The discount is available both on Bose's website and on Amazon. However, while all colors are on sale on Bose's online store, Amazon has slashed the price of only six. Based on the huge price cut, it is clear that Bose is trying to clear its stock of the first gen model, so there is a possibility that when they are out of stock, they won't be available to buy anymore.

The Bose QuietComfort Headphones offers impressive active noise cancellation according to many reviews on Amazon. There are also several praises for their comfort and sound quality, and while their 24 hours of battery life pales in comparison to what is obtainable on other headphones such as the Ugreen HiTune Max5s, they should get you through a day as long as you turn them off when not in use. And when you run out of juice, the headphones have an audio jack for wired use. There's also fast charging via USB-C.

The Bose QuietComfort Headphones (1st Gen) are not perfect as there are reports of connectivity issues, especially when connected to two devices simultaneously. There are also some complaints about the overall build quality.
