Boox reveals chipset powering its new Note X6 E Ink notebook

A few days ago, Boox revealed its plans to announce a new ePaper notebook that will launch as the Note X6. That announcement came with a first look at the device, and has now been followed by another that reveals the processor powering it.
According to a new teaser posted on its Weibo page, the Boox Note X6 will be powered by a Snapdragon processor like its predecessor, the Note X5. This new processor is a 4nm chip called the Snapdragon 6690 and it has a CPU that is clocked at 2.9GHz. Boox says the new chip offers a 78% improvement in performance compared to the previous generation.
However, according to Qualcomm, the processor is actually called the Dragonwing Q-6690, and it is the world's first enterprise mobile processor with fully integrated UHF (RAIN) RFID capabilities. The processor features eight Kryo 7-series CPU cores, an Adreno GPU clocked at 1.15GHz, and a 6 TOPS NPU. It also has Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0. The product page states it is designed for use in electronic cash registers, POS terminals, tablets, and smart displays.
There's a lot we still don't know about the Note X6, but there most likely will be more teasers ahead of the official unveiling on May 27.
