Reviews for the Blackview BV9200

The Blackview BV9200 competes in a fairly niche segment where only a few smartphone makers compete. Nevertheless, Blackview managed to put together quite a capable device, offering a significant upgrade over its predecessor while introducing some scarce features in the €300 price category. Even when put against "normal" smartphones. We believe the handset strikes a nice balance between ruggedness and modern features. Sure, the Helio G96 SoC isn't amazing, but it seems to be doing just fine with the 120Hz display and in the context of Android 12 OS. We are also surprised to see the ultrawide camera with autofocus, 256GB of standard storage + dedicated microSD card slot, fast 66W charging and impressive 30W wireless charging. One of the few downsides of the BV9200 is its inadequate display brightness and battery life. As an outdoor-centric smartphone, we would have wished for better sunlight legibility and much longer battery life. As far as alternatives go, we found the Ulefone Armor 17 Pro to be the closest match as it features roughly the same hardware, albeit being more expensive. The Ulefone contender has a bigger battery and a night vision camera on its side but skips the stereo speakers and offers slower wireless charging. So at the end of the day, the BV9200 is a well-balanced rugged phone that implements many of the essential 2023 features without breaking the bank.

A highly practical design that ditched battery capacity to be easier to carry and use. While not fans of Doke-OS interface and its associated bloatware, this is still a powerful device that could be invaluable to those working outdoors.

After checking each of the sections of the Blackview BV9200, the phone is looking for an incredible option in the armored segment. It offers high-end built quality with top-notch material. Although, the device can be heavy for some users because of the additional material used on the phone’s body. Anyway, the hardware section will handle the performance aspect properly, while the software end with an advanced refresh rate giving a decent experience. Overall, battery optimization is also great for watching favorite content and enjoying social media. In short, you can consider this phone if you have no problem with the 4G connectivity. But if you are looking for something different, then we suggest you should look for the Ulefone Armor 17 Pro as an alternative option. It got better perks and it cost slightly higher than this phone.

It is a small display format for smartphones. You shouldn't be severely defective in vision, and you won't see much detail on the screen and only have a small resolution available. For that, the device should be small and handy, easy to transport.

This brand from the Blackview International Group was created in Hong Kong in 2013. Smartphones are the focus of marketing.
However, there are only few reviews and the market shares are very low (2016).
73%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
