Asus releases new desktop internationally as Apple iMac alternative

Asus has released multiple laptops this year across its ExpertBook, ROG Zephyrus, TUF Gaming, ProArt and Zenbook lines. Of those launched in 2026, a few feature Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 chipsets too. For instance, the ProArt PZ14 is now available, as are the Zenbook A14 and Zenbook A16 that we have already reviewed.
Now, the company has begun selling a Snapdragon X-powered all-in-one (AiO) desktop. Effectively Asus' answer to the Apple iMac (curr. $1,283 on Amazon), the VM441 (V400 AiO VM441QA) contains the older Snapdragon X X1-26-100 that powered last year's Zenbook A14. Additionally, the AiO features a 23.8-inch and 1080p display that peaks at 300 nits with 100% sRGB colour space coverage and a 60 Hz refresh rate. Moreover, Asus includes the following ports:
- 1x 3.5 mm headphone jack
- 1x 3.5 mm microphone jack
- 1x DC-in
- 1x HDMI 2.1b (output)
- 1x Kensington lock slot
- 1x RJ45 (Gigabit Ethernet)
- 2x USB 2.0 Type-A
- 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A
- 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C
Also, the VM441 has built-in speakers, a built-in microphone array and a 5 MP webcam that supports Windows Hello. On top of that, the AiO leverages Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity. Asus mentions 32 GB of RAM on its website, too. However, only 16 GB variants are available for now. Currently, Asus is selling the VM441 in markets like the US and India at the following prices:
- 16 GB/512 GB SSD - $899 / INR 101,990
- 16 GB RAM/1 TB SSD - INR 111,990 (~$125)
