Asus launched its new entry-level smartphone, the Zenfone Go 4.5, today. Featuring a 4.5-inch display with 854 x 480 (FWVGA) resolution, the handset is powered by a quad-core, MediaTek MT6580 processor clocked at 1.3 GHz, accompanied by 1 GB of RAM. The 8 GB of internal storage space is partly taken up by the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with Asus’ own ZenUI 2.0 interface on top. Luckily, the storage space can be expanded up to 64 GB via the micro-SD memory card reader.

The Zenfone Go 4.5 features a 5 MP main camera with LED flash and f/2.0 aperture lens, as well as a 0.3 MP selfie shooter on front. According to the manufacturer, the 1,600 mAh removable battery can provide energy for almost 11 hours of talk time or 355 hours of stand-by. Connectivity options include 3G HSPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS/A-GPS. Unfortunately, there is no 4G support.

The handset is 10.1 mm thick and weighs 133 grams. It will be available in black, white, pink and blue color options at Rs. 5,299 (approx. S80).
