Deal | Asus VivoBook 15 with AMD Ryzen 3 3200U CPU, 1080p display, and 128 GB SSD now on sale for $300

A few months ago, the Walmart Motile laptop was on sale for around $300 USD with respectable specifications considering the low price. The budget system impressed us and it sold out pretty quickly, but many other users probably skipped the system because it was only 14-inches instead of the more common 15.6-inch screen size.

Now, Walmart has the Asus VivoBook 15 on sale with very similar specifications to the aforementioned Motile laptop but in a larger 15.6-inch form factor. The Ryzen 3 3200U processor and 4 GB of RAM aren't going to blow anyone anyway, but performance will still be leagues faster than most alternatives in this ultra-budget price range where even slower processors dominate like the Intel Celeron, Atom, or Core m series. The 1080p display is a nice surprise as well as most others in this price bracket have grainy 768p displays instead.

the main drawbacks to the laptop are the flexible lid, spongy clickpad, relatively poor contrast ratio despite the high resolution. You can't expect to have the best display for $300, after all.
