Apple has announced the iPhone 16E, which is now its most affordable iPhone model. However, the arrival of the iPhone 16E has led to the discontinuation of the iPhone 14 and the iPhone SE (3rd generation), the latter which used to be its smallest and cheapest model.
While there has been no official announcement of the discontinuation, both devices are no longer listed on the iPhone page on Apple's website and have now been replaced with the iPhone 16E which starts at $599. The $699 iPhone 15 is also still available for purchase.
The removal of the iPhone 14 and iPhone SE (3rd generation) also marks the end of the Lightning port era for Apple as all of its current iPhone models now have a USB-C port.
The delisting of the iPhone 14 doesn't mean it is no longer available to buy from Apple as it can still be purchased, albeit in a refurbished condition. The 128GB version of the refurbished iPhone 14 is available for $529 while the 256GB variant retails for $619. Unfortunately, Apple isn't selling refurbished units of the iPhone SE (3rd generation).
According to Apple, all refurbished iPhones come with a new battery, new outer shell, and a one-year warranty. They have also been fully tested and will ship with the original OS or the latest version. They will also ship with accessories and cables in a brand-new box.
