Apple has updated the marketing material of the MacBook Air M3, and with this, the company is making new claims about the laptop. In the updated material, Apple claims that it is 40% faster than Copilot+ PCs in graphics performance and is the "best AI PC."

The Apple MacBook Air M3 was formally launched in March of this year. At launch, the company didn't promote its AI capabilities much, but now, the Cupertino giant is going heavy on it. As spotted by Aaron Perris on social media, the marketing material for the laptop has been updated, and Apple is taking a shot at Copilot+ PCs.

On the updated material, Apple claims that the MacBook Air M3 is the "best AI PC," and this isn't far from what the company claimed during launch. In March, Apple promoted the Mac as the "world's best consumer laptop for AI." This change in the promotional material is likely because of the fact that Apple Intelligence is over the horizon.

But that's not the only change present in the updated material. Apple also claims that the M3 MacBook is up to 40% faster than Copilot+ PCs in terms of graphics performance, and it is up to 25% faster "for browsing the web." The company mentions that these numbers are from a comparison with the Microsoft Surface Laptop 7th Edition.

More specifically, Apple compared the M3 MacBook Air, which has 16 GB of RAM, 8-core CPU, and 10-core GPU, with a Surface Laptop 7th Edition featuring 12-core Snapdragon X Elite and 16 GB of RAM (available on Amazon). Despite Apple's claims, this comparison done by testing a single Copilot+ PC doesn't paint the whole picture.

The recently announced Intel Lunar Lake laptops are also in the Copilot+ PC program, and the Strix Point products also meet the requirements. Intel, in particular, promises much better performance than Apple SoCs with its newer processors, especially in terms of AI. So, you can't really get to a conclusion until the MacBook M3 is compared with these higher-end Copilot+ PCs.
