The entry-level MacBook Pro 14 is currently on sale for 17% off the $1,799 list price. The laptop packs a base M3 SoC with a 10-core GPU, 16 GB of memory, and 512 GB of storage. Additionally, the notebook equips a 14-inch Liquid Retina XDR display with Mini-LED backlighting, 605 nits of average brightness, and 99% DCI-P3 coverage.

We reported last week that the 2023 MacBook Pro 14 with the M3 Pro chip, 18 GB of RAM, and 512 GB of storage was on sale for only $1,749. While that deal is no longer available, you can now get the MacBook Pro 14 (2023) for even cheaper if you are prepared to sacrifice a bit on the specs.

MacConnection, an Apple-authorized reseller, has now put the MacBook Pro 14 with the base M3 chip, 16 GB of RAM, and 512 GB of storage on sale for $1,499. The new discounted price is a sizeable $300 off the list rate making the already-excellent laptop even better.

Apple’s laptop releases over the past few years are enough to prove that the company has perfected the formula of how to make a stellar machine and the MacBook Pro 14 (M3 2023) is yet another example of that. In our review of the machine, the notebook impressed us with its beautiful Liquid Retina XDR display, top-of-the-line craftsmanship, superb speakers, quiet operation, and long endurance.

Additionally, the base M3 SoC inside the MacBook Pro 14 excelled with a 20% performance uplift over the M2 in both multi-threaded and single-threaded tasks while offering better efficiency (Buy the M2 MacBook Air on Amazon). Similarly, the 10-core GPU inside the M3 processor has also seen a healthy performance bump of up to 20%. This puts the chip ahead of the Radeon 780M in synthetic benchmarks like the 3DMark WildLife Extreme Unlimited.

Long story short, despite using a non-pro M3 chip, the MacBook Pro 14 is an incredible laptop with enough performance to satisfy the needs of a vast majority of users. Suffice it to say, the MacBook Pro 14 is a solid deal at the latest reduced price.
