Anycubic Photon Mono M5s Pro about to launch with early-bird pricing and free gift
Anycubic's latest 3D printer improves on its Photon Mono M5 predecessor with a maximal resolution of 14K (or 13312 x 5120) via a similar 10.1-inch monochrome LCD. Then again, the M5s Pro has a potentially superior light uniformity of 85%, rated to produce resin 'pixels' of 16.8 x 24.8 microns (μm) for a theoretically "human hair" level of detail.
The new Photon-series printer may also have a timely announcement for some in that Anycubic claims to have solved one of the main issue associated with trying to 3D-print in the cold, which are largely that the machine might fail to start straight away (resulting in a "wait time" that could stretch to 60 minutes in ambient temperatures of 10 to about 5 degrees Celsius).
The M5s Pro addresses that with its own in-built air heater, rated to keep the enclosed ~5.7 liter (200 ounce) printing area at a constant desirable temperature (~20°C) for the duration of the print. The new component also doubles as a purifier attachment to help eradicate resin odors after the fact, moreover.
The resulting print may also be more even thanks to "floating platform" technology, amenable to easy removal in 1 piece with Anycubic's 3rd-gen "high-speed ACF film", and to be finished without delay with an "average print speed (of) up to 105 millimeters per hour (mm/h)".
The Photon Mono M5s Pro will be released via anycubic.com from January 19, 2024), with a starting price that varies depending on when it is ordered. To that end, it will go for as little as $459 as a standalone product (i.e. without optional wash/cure bundles) with 2kg of the OEM's High Speed Resin for free until January 25, whereupon the price rises to $479 until open sales at $499 begin on February 2.
Accordingly, one might be advised to sign up to Anycubic's mailing list for the best chance of getting that early-bird deal, an option open until tomorrow (January 18, 2024).
