Anker's new PowerCore Play 6K is a mobile gaming grip, power-bank and phone-cooler in one
Anker has designed its latest power bank with mobile gamers in mind. The PowerCore Play 6K, like the Razer Kishi, snaps onto the back of a given smartphone. However, unlike this product, it does not exhibit physical controls, although it does offer the same kind of grip during touchscreen-based gaming.
The PowerCore-series product is also intended for use directly on a user's phone as it also provides cooling through an actual spinning fan. Its 6700mAh battery delivers power through its USB type A and type C ports, which are both rated for 12 and 15 watt (W) charging respectively.
Therefore, it could work with either iOS or Android devices, although there is only a type A to C cable in its box. In addition, its clamping mechanism accommodates phones of 6.45 inches in length at the most. Furthermore, Anker admits that it may be necessary to remove any applicable cases before its use. The PowerCore Play 6K is sold via Amazon, and costs US$35.99 on this platform.
