A new wall charger could be on the way from Anker. Recent reports indicate that an accessory with two USB-C ports is in development, possibly succeeding the Anker 523 Charger (Nano 3, 47W). Though few details are available, it has been suggested that the upcoming charger would have a higher maximum output.

According to rumors, Anker could be working on a successor to the 523 Charger (Nano 3, 47W). A report from u/joshuadwx on Reddit suggests that a new charger with two USB-C ports is on the way, each offering a 50W output.

That would be an improvement compared to the 523 Charger; here, the USB-C was capped at 45W for a single port, or 27W and 20W power from each output when used at the same time. If these rumors are true, the new accessory would be the first of its kind from Anker to support either a single port 50W output or a 50W total output across multiple ports. However, how the power would be distributed across the two ports when used simultaneously is unknown.

Whether the new Anker wall charger will have the same folding pins, dimensions and weight as the 523 remains to be seen. Plus, there is no indication of a launch date or pricing for the new Anker Wall Charger (50W). For context, the Anker 523 Charger has an RRP of $29.99/£24.99, though it is currently selling at Amazon at $22.49/£19.99.
