New Anker Flow USB-A to Lightning Cable could launch soon
Anker could launch a new USB-A to Lightning Cable shortly. Rumors and a supposedly leaked image shared on Reddit suggest that the new accessory will sit in the company’s Flow range.
The new USB-A to Lightning Cable (Flow, Silicone) is seemingly aimed at users of older iPhone models, following the company’s switch from a Lightning to a USB-C port from the iPhone 15 range. However, the company already offers the Anker 641 USB-C to Lightning Cable (Flow, Silicone), which would provide faster charging speeds for many older iPhones. According to the report, the USB-A to Lightning cable will be offered in 3 ft (0.9 m) and 6 ft (1.8 m) lengths. The image shows a cable with a black silicone outer and rose gold accents, as seen on the 641. Details such as the expected bend lifespan have not been revealed; for context, the USB-C to Lightning Flow cable is said to withstand 25,000 bends and supports up to 220 lbs (~100 kg).
The pricing and release date of this Anker USB-A to Lightning Cable (Flow, Silicone) have yet to be announced. As a guide, the 641 USB-C to Lightning Cable retails for $16.99. It also remains to be seen whether the USB-A to Lightning variant will be offered in the same colors as older Flow cables, available in eight hues, including Midnight Black, Misty Blue, Cloud White and Daffodil Yellow.
