Anicorn, a brand known for watchmaking, has announced two new watches in celebration of PlayStation's 30th anniversary. The watches include the PlayStation Anicorn — Play Symbol and the PlayStation Limited Edition Mechanical Watch.
PlayStation Anicorn — Play Symbol
The Anicorn Play Symbol is a quartz watch available in Dark Mode and Light Mode versions. Both variants have a round case with black leather straps and a dial with the famous PlayStation logo and iconic PlayStation symbols.
However, while the Dark Mode variant has a black case and dial, a white PlayStation logo, and colored PlayStation symbols, the Light Mode version has a silver case, a white dial, a black PlayStation logo, and gray PlayStation symbols.
Both versions will ship in a transparent case and will be released at 10 PM EST on December 18.
PlayStation Limited Edition Mechanical Watch
The PlayStation Limited Edition Mechanical Watch has a design that is inspired by the original PlayStation. Sporting a 316L stainless steel octagonal case with a 42.8mm dial and quick-release FKM rubber straps, the watch features a Miyota 9039 mechanical movement with a running time of about 42 hours when fully winded.
The dial features the PlayStation symbols at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock marks. It also has the word power inscribed on the crown, while the straps are adorned with tiny PlayStation symbols. The PlayStation Limited Edition Mechanical Watch also has sapphire glass protection and a 5 ATM water resistance rating.
Anicorn says there will only be 300 limited editions of the PlayStation Limited Edition Mechanical Watch when it launches on December 18.
In addition to the watch, Anicorn also made a Memory Capsule with NFC that has a design similar to the Memory Card of the original PlayStation. Anicorn says users will be able to save, view, and overwrite content to the Memory Capsule.
