Anbernic has now confirmed full specifications for its next gaming handheld. Shared by way of a new promotional video on YouTube, the new information has arrived just a few days after pricing for the same device leaked online. In short, Anbernic has taken elements from the RG557 and RG Slide to create the RG477M.
On the one hand, the RG477M features MediaTek's Dimensity 8300 chipset, which Anbernic first used inside the RG557. Combining four ARM Cortex-A510 and Cortex-A715 CPU cores apiece, the Dimensity 8300 also contains a Mali-G615 MP6 GPU that Anbernic complements with 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM. Moreover, the company has included a 5,300 mAh battery that supports up to 27 W wired charging.
On the other hand, the RG477M also contains the same 4.7-inch and 1,280 x 960-pixel display as the RG Slide (curr. $249.99 on Amazon). As a result, the former will offer a 120 Hz refresh rate when it launches. Unfortunately, pricing and availability still remain unknown at this stage.
