Casio Edifice EFK-100 mechanical watches now available in the UK

The Casio Edifice EFK-100CD-1A, EFK-100D-2A, EFK-100D-3A, and EFK-100XPB-1A watches are now available in the UK. These models launched in Japan earlier this year and are also available in the US.

You can now buy the Casio Edifice EFK-100D-2A (blue dial) and EFK-100D-3A (green dial) watches at the brand’s online store in the UK for £269. These two models feature a forged-carbon-style textured dial. The EFK-100CD-1A, which has an actual forged carbon dial, is currently available for £289. At the top of the range is the EFK-100XPB-1A with a forged carbon casing, dial and band; this model is priced at £429.

The Casio Edifice EFK-100 products are the brand's first mechanical watches. Each uses an automatic movement with a  40 hour power reserve and a hacking function (seconds hand). This is viewable through a transparent screw lock back. According to the company, these analog watches are accurate, with a mean daily rate between -35 and +45 seconds. 

The EFK-100D and EFK-100CD watches measure 43.5 x 39 x 12.5 mm (~1.7 x 1.5 x 0.5 inches) and weigh 148 g (~5.2 oz). Meanwhile, the EFK-100XPB is slightly larger at 45.0 x 40.0 x 12.5 mm (~1.8 x 1.6 x 0.5 inches) but significantly lighter at 87 g (~3.1 oz). These four watches, and a fifth EFK-100D-7A (white dial) variant, are also rolling out to other European countries like Germany.
