Analogue has released a statement regarding the status of its FPGA console, the Analogue 3D. The modern remake of the Nintendo 64, first announced in October 2024, has faced multiple delays regarding its release.
In its latest update about the console, Analogue took to X to assure those who pre-ordered that the Analogue 3D is still on target to ship in Q4 of 2025. However, it failed to mention a specific date for when shipping will begin.
The post also mentioned that the price of the Analogue 3D remains the same, nor will there be any additional cost for all open pre-orders. Analogue has also revealed that it will send an email to all those who pre-ordered a week before shipping begins. However, it is also providing an option for those who wish to cancel their pre-orders.
The Analogue 3D was scheduled to ship in the first quarter of 2025, but was delayed to July. Then the manufacturer set a new shipping date for late August, but also missed the new timeframe. Shortly before the end of August, it announced that shipping would begin in the fourth quarter of the year. It also released a video showing the console in use.
The 8BitDo 64 Bluetooth Controller, which was made for the Analogue 3D, also faced delays a couple of times but was eventually released in late July. It is currently available to buy on Amazon for $32.50, 19% off its launch price.
