Affordable Honor X7e Plus launches with 8,100 mAh battery and IP69K rating
Just under two months after the launch of the Honor X7e, the smartphone manufacturer is introducing the Honor X7e Plus. The new model is designed to impress, not least with its particularly rugged casing. According to Honor, this mid-range smartphone can withstand drops from a height of 2.5 meters. The smartphone is IP69K-certified and therefore waterproof.
The standout feature is the battery, which offers a capacity of 8,100 mAh and is expected to last six years. According to Honor, the battery delivers decent runtime even at temperatures ranging from –30 °C to +50 °C. It charges via USB-C at up to 45 watts. Honor has cut back a bit on the rest of the specs to make the affordable price possible. The Honor X7e Plus 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 4, featuring two ARM Cortex-A78 performance cores and six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores.
The 6.87-inch display is based on an IPS panel that has a resolution of just 1,592 x 720 pixels, a brightness of 1,020 nits, and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Honor has included only a 5-megapixel main camera and pairs the 50 MP f/1.8 main camera with just a 2 MP sensor. At least the smartphone features a dual-SIM slot, an NFC chip for contactless payments, a GPS module, and a built-in fingerprint sensor.
Pricing and availability
The Honor X7e Plus 5G is already available in the United Arab Emirates with either 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage for AED 899 ($245), or with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage for AED 1,099 ($299). Details regarding the international launch are not yet available.
