Acer starts selling the Swift 14 premium ultrabook with i7-13700H and 2560 x 1600 touchscreen for US$1,399.99
Acer is introducing a new 14-inch model to the Swift lineup this year. The company claims that the Swift 14 is a spiritual successor for the iconic Swift 5 and features a premium CNC-machined aluminum chassis with double-anodized sides tinted in gold. This model conforms to Intel’s latest Intel Evo standard for thin and light laptops and is powered by Raptor Lake-H processors.
For now, only the i7-13700H model with 2560 x 1600 60 Hz IPS touchscreen is available for US$1,399.99 directly from Acer US. This is the more premium version that also packs 16 GB of LPDDR5 (soldered) RAM and 1 TB NVMe SSD storage. Acer also plans to sell a more affordable version (in the US$1,000 range, most likely), which comes with an i5-13500H processor, 8 GB LPDDR5 RAM, 512 GB storage and a 14-inch touchscreen with 1920 x 1200 resolution. The RAM specs further list an even more expensive version with 32 GB.
Standard features for all aforementioned configurations include a port selection with 2x Thunderbolt 4 + 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 connectors, an HDMI 2.1 video out and audio jack. Wireless connectivity is offered through an Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6E + BT 5.1 card. There are 2x 2W speakers with DTS Audio as well as a 1440p webcam with temporal noise reduction and dual mic array, plus a fingerprint sensor integrated in the power button. The provided battery can last for up to 16 h.
Chassis color options include Mist Green and Steam Blue. The laptop profile measures 0.59 inches (14.95 mm), while the weight is around 2.65 lbs (1.2 kg).
