Acer Veriton N small form factor desktop PC released in India; prices start at INR 9,999
Acer has released a new small form factor PC for the Indian market. It is a part of Acer's Veriton N series of compact PCs. Their small size makes it ideal for use in environments with space constraints at the cost of performance. The desktop small enough to be fitted behind a monitor's VESA mount.
The Acer Veriton N is configurable with 8th, and 9th generation Intel Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, Celeron, and Pentium Gold processors mounted on an Intel B360 chipset. Memory options range between 4GB of RAM, which can be expanded up to 64GB using UDIMM modules. It can be coupled with either a 1TB 5400/7200 RPM hard drive or a 512GB SSD. There is support for NVMe SSDs as well. One cannot add an optical drive to the desktop due to its small size. There are two USB 3.1 and one USB 2.0 ports at the front, along with 3.5mm mic and speaker out jacks. The rear panel houses two USB 2.0 and USB 3.1 ports, 3.5mm speaker out and line-in jacks, an HDMI port, a VGA port, and an RJ-45 Ethernet port. Other connectivity options include 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
On the software side of things, one can choose between Windows 10 or Linux. Acer says that the Veriton N's price will start at INR 9,999($131), but didn't specify what hardware it would run. Since the Veriton series of machines are intended for use in an enterprise environment, prices may vary depending on a variety of factors. The desktop will be available for purchase on Acer's website and all eligible retailers in the coming days.
