Reviews for the Acer TravelMate P4 TMP414-51-59MR

85.3% Acer TravelMate P4 in review: Business endurance runner with Thunderbolt 4 | Notebookcheck
The TravelMate P4 scores points with long battery life, relatively low emissions, and a Thunderbolt 4 port. Windows 10 Pro serves as the operating system. Another advantage: Acer offers a three-year warranty for the laptop.
80% Acer Travelmate P4 review

The Acer Travelmate P4 is an alternative to the Travelmate P2 that we recently reviewed, but it’s even cheaper. The highlights, according to Acer, are a 14-hour battery life, an aluminium-magnesium alloy body. Using those materials in combination with a mostly plastic skin keeps the weight down, something anyone who carries their system through a working day will appreciate. What’s genuinely impressive is how fast these systems can be when compared with much more expensive ultrabook designs, as they use similar platforms and include some special features, like Thunderbolt ports. While this has a relatively easy fix, it isn’t one that the Acer support team appears able to provide. Even with this mistake, the Travelmate P4 is one of the better cheap business laptops that we have tested and easily worth the modest asking price Acer wants for it.

This is a powerful Notebook from Acer that is very fast and while not a featherweight at 1.41 kilos it is very solid so should stand the odd knock or three. It still has the ability to be used in an office environment as it has Ethernet and a full sized HDMI port. So what else does this latest offering have to temp the user to dig into their wallet.

There are hardly any tablets in this display size range anymore. For subnotebooks, on the other hand, it is the standard format.

The advantage of subnotebooks is that the entire laptop can be small and therefore easily portable. The smaller display also has the advantage of requiring less power, which further improves battery life and thus mobility. The disadvantage is that reading texts is more strenuous on the eyes. High resolutions are more likely to be found in standard laptops.

Acer: In 1976, the company was founded in Taiwan under the name Multitech and was renamed Acer or Acer Group in 1987. The product range includes, for example, laptops, tablets, smartphones, desktops, monitors, TVs and computer peripherals. Since 2007, the group has merged with Gateway Inc. and Packard Bell, which also market their own laptop product lines.

Acer computers are designed for a variety of purposes, including ultrabooks for mobile use, gaming laptops for gamers, affordable options for everyday tasks, and 2-in-1 convertible laptops for versatility. Acer's product portfolio also includes tablets that offer portable computing and multimedia capabilities.

81.77%: This rating is slightly above average, there are somewhat more devices with worse ratings. However, clear purchase recommendations look different.
