Reviews for the Acer Swift 3 SF314-57-57BN

85% Acer Swift 3 SF314-57-57BN review: A 2.68-pound laptop with Ice Lake for a mid-tier price
Source: Neowin English Archive.org version
All-in-all, this is a tremendous package for $699. It has a great anti-glare FHD display, a solid keyboard, and impressive productivity performance. If $699 is what you're looking to spend and you don't need dedicated graphics power, I honestly can't think of anything better. You can check it out on Acer.com here.

80% Acer Swift 3 (SF314-57-57BN) review: Thin, light, affordable, and Ice Lake, with Thunderbolt 3 to boot
Source: PC World English Archive.org version
With its slim and light design, efficient (if not barn-burning) quad-core performance, and such extras as a Thunderbolt 3 port and support for the speedy new Wi-Fi 6 standard, the affordably priced Acer Swift 3 is a smart choice for budget-minded productivity mavens who don’t want to be weighed down. We have our quibbles, such as the dim display and middling battery life, but those seem like reasonable compromises given this laptop’s svelte form factor and $700 price tag.

There are hardly any tablets in this display size range anymore. For subnotebooks, on the other hand, it is the standard format.

The advantage of subnotebooks is that the entire laptop can be small and therefore easily portable. The smaller display also has the advantage of requiring less power, which further improves battery life and thus mobility. The disadvantage is that reading texts is more strenuous on the eyes. High resolutions are more likely to be found in standard laptops.

Acer: In 1976, the company was founded in Taiwan under the name Multitech and was renamed Acer or Acer Group in 1987. Acer's product portfolio also includes tablets that offer portable computing and multimedia capabilities.
