The full HD IPS 300Hz fast refresh display supports G-Sync and the laptop has a per key RGB backlit keyboard. Other amenities include a matte black aluminum chassis, Wi-Fi 6 and an 84 WHr battery. It competes with the MSI Stealth GS66, Razer Blade 15 and Alienware m15 R3.

80% Acer Predator Triton 500 2020 Review – It Gets Better

Overall, the Acer Predator Triton 500 2020 is essentially the same gaming laptop from last year, but with notable improvements inside. You get the new 10th Gen Intel Core CPUs, GPU up to an RTX 2070 SUPER Max-Q, AX Wi-Fi, decent array of ports, can function as an emergency powerbank, and 300Hz refresh rate with G-SYNC support in a relatively portable package.

The Acer Predator Triton 500 (2020) is one of the most powerful gaming laptops I’ve ever tested, and while its sleek chassis and 300Hz panel are certainly tempting, it needs to give a lot more for $3,000. The battery life is too short compared to competitors, and neither its display nor its speakers look or sound very premium.

Absolutely, this device is a solid gaming laptop. Its predecessor (2019 model) was one of the best seller gaming notebooks. Acer has even made a lot of improvements with the 2020 model. They improve the cooling system so that it runs cooler than the previous model. Also, they add a much better screen and per-key RGB keyboard’s lighting. Most importantly, they included the more energy-friendly GPU, the RTX 2070 Super. This GPU also runs cooler. Overall, the Acer Predator Triton 500 PT515-52-73L3 is a very capable laptop that can replace the desktop’s performance.

Acer: In 1976, the company was founded in Taiwan under the name Multitech and was renamed Acer or Acer Group in 1987. The product range includes, for example, laptops, tablets, smartphones, desktops, monitors, TVs and computer peripherals. Since 2007, the group has merged with Gateway Inc. and Packard Bell, which also market their own laptop product lines.

Acer computers are designed for a variety of purposes, including ultrabooks for mobile use, gaming laptops for gamers, affordable options for everyday tasks, and 2-in-1 convertible laptops for versatility. Acer's product portfolio also includes tablets that offer portable computing and multimedia capabilities.

With these GPUs you are able to play modern and demanding games fluently at medium detail settings and HD resolution.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super Max-Q: High-End laptop graphics card based on the TU104 chip with 2,560 shaders. Runs at reduced clock speeds compared to a laptop RTX 2070 Super to achieve a much lower power consumption. The TGP is specified at 80 Watts and therefore significantly lower than the RTX 2070 Super Mobile (115 Watt).

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super Mobile: High-End laptop graphics card based on the Turing architecture. Refresh model of the RTX 2070 with a slightly higher performance.

These graphics cards are able to play the latest and most demanding games in high resolutions and full detail settings with enabled Anti-Aliasing.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Super Mobile: High-End laptop graphics card based on the TU104 chip. At the time of the launch in early 2020, the 2080 Super is the fastest laptop graphics card on the market, but only slightly faster than the old GeForce RTX 2080.

i7-10875H: On Coffee Lake architecture based processor for big and heavy laptops. Integrates eight processor cores clocked at 2.3 - 5,1 GHz (all 8 cores up to 4.3 GHz) that support HyperThreading. Manufactured in an improved 14nm process (14nm++).

i7-10750H: A high-performance hexa-core processor designed for use in thicker laptops with room for better thermals. The Comet Lake-H processor is manufactured on the third-gen 14 nm Intel process and features a 24 EU UHD Graphics 630 iGPU clocked at 350 MHz to 1,150 MHz. The CPU cores run at 2.6 GHz (base clock speed) Boosting up to 5.0 GHz and the likely all-core Boost frequency is 4.3 GHz. Hyper-Threading is enabled, allowing two threads to run simultaneously on each core.
