For Rs. 1,74,999, there aren't a lot of laptops with the same specifications. If you want something with the same hardware, you can opt for the Asus ROG Strix G16, which costs considerably more. You can also go for the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro, which again is priced higher than the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16. While plenty of gaming laptops are available with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 GPU, they don't offer features such as a 240Hz display, 14th Gen Intel Core i9 chipset, and a high TGP. The Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 is an excellent gaming laptop, especially if you're able to get it at a discounted rate. Several online resellers in India are already offering up to Rs. 10,000 price cut on the laptop, and you can expect the price to drop even lower during sales. The laptop offers a great display and top-notch gaming performance and even has a dedicated Copilot key. I'd recommend this to anyone who's looking to buy a powerful gaming laptop under Rs. 2,00,000.

The Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 (PHN16-72) is a capable gaming laptop that impresses with its good overall performance and 1600p IPS display. The cooling is hefty and it’s also potent since the Core i9-14900HX can maintain a bit higher clocks in longer loads than the 18-inch PH18-71 with the same chip. The GeForce RTX 4070 can offer ~140W TGP and 2500 MHz core clock during gaming. The only downside in this section is the high temperature of 86°C. The “Performance” mode is the sweet spot for all kinds of tasks because of the 2.8GHz P core frequency and the 120W GPU power limit. In this case, the laptop power is still enough for gaming or 3D rendering but the noise is lower which leads to better comfort. Our notebook has the optional 160op IPS display (Innolux N160GME-GTB (CMN162F)).

The Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 2024 offers top-tier gaming performance with its Intel Core i9-14900HX processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU. Its premium design, excellent display, and impressive thermal management further enhance its appeal. It outperforms its competitors in its price range, making it a worthy investment for gaming enthusiasts seeking high performance without breaking the bank. Acer is back with the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 2024, continuing last year’s newly launched Helios Neo lineup. Last year we saw the release of several “budget premium” gaming laptops, which offered top-of-the-line hardware while being comparatively easy on the wallet, especially compared to other high-end gaming laptop offerings. One of our favourites from last year was the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16, part of Acer’s premium Predator Helios lineup of gaming laptops.

18.00": This display size is a standard format for desktop replacements (DTR). The DTR laptops are heavier to carry, need more power, but texts are easy to read and high resolutions are no problem. DTR are mainly intended for stationary desk use, where weight and energy hunger don't matter. In return, you enjoy the advantages of high resolutions (more details, better legibility).» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.
3.4 kg:
A laptop with this weight is comparatively heavy and less designed for mobility than for use at the desk. Therefore, the devices tend to shine less with battery life than with a large screen and higher performance.
