Archive.org versionThe ConceptD 3 Ezel is a solid performer and a good-looking design. Its offbeat pivoting hinge is a slightly clunkier alternative to the arrangement of most 2-in-1 laptops, and its giving priority to music playback keys is just weird. But if screen and color quality is paramount for you, and you'd prefer a 14-inch convertible to one of the many superb (and admittedly more expensive) 15.6-inch clamshell laptops for creative pros, it could be right up your alley.

It has the specs to harness your projects at maximum capacity (minus resolution on the go,) alongside a laptop design that would make heads turn. It is powerful as it is portable and I would recommend this to anyone, intermediate or professional, to get your hands on this one.

Archive.org versionWhen I started using the Acer ConceptD 3 Ezel, it was love at first use. Sure, there's no IR camera and there's no cellular connectivity, two things that I believe should be on every portable PC but you'd also never find on a machine like this one. But still, the ConceptD 3 Ezel is just a delight in every single way.

The Acer ConceptD 3 Ezel Pro is an Nvidia Quadro GPU version of Acer’s dual-hinge display design and content creation laptop. While it may not have the resolution and power some “pros” need, it’s a mostly elegant take on the concept that can be happily used as a home workstation for other jobs.

Acer: In 1976, the company was founded in Taiwan under the name Multitech and was renamed Acer or Acer Group in 1987. The product range includes, for example, laptops, tablets, smartphones, desktops, monitors, TVs and computer peripherals. Since 2007, the group has merged with Gateway Inc. and Packard Bell, which also market their own laptop product lines.
Acer computers are designed for a variety of purposes, including ultrabooks for mobile use, gaming laptops for gamers, affordable options for everyday tasks, and 2-in-1 convertible laptops for versatility. Acer's product portfolio also includes tablets that offer portable computing and multimedia capabilities.
With these GPUs you are able to play modern and demanding games fluently at medium detail settings and HD resolution.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti Max-Q: Mid range dedicated graphics card for laptops that uses a Turing TU117 chip without raytracing and Tensor cores. Runs at reduced clock speeds compared to a laptop GTX 1650 Ti to achieve a much lower power consumption (35 versus 50 - 80 Watt).
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti Mobile: Mid range dedicated graphics card for laptops that uses a Turing TU117 chip without raytracing and Tensor cores. Should be slightly faster than a GTX 1650, but is also available in different variants with a TGP ranging from 55 - 80 Watt (and two packages).
NVIDIA Quadro T1000 (Laptop): Mid range dedicated graphics card for professional laptops based on the consumer GTX 1650 but with less shaders. Therefore it uses the Turing architecture without raytracing and Tensor cores.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU: Mid-range gaming laptop graphics card based on the Ampere GA107 chip.
NVIDIA T1200 Laptop GPU: Mid range dedicated graphics card for professional laptops based on the consumer GTX 1650 Ti. Therefore it uses the Turing architecture without raytracing and Tensor cores.

Intel Comet Lake:
i7-10750H: A high-performance hexa-core processor designed for use in thicker laptops with room for better thermals. The Comet Lake-H processor is manufactured on the third-gen 14 nm Intel process and features a 24 EU UHD Graphics 630 iGPU clocked at 350 MHz to 1,150 MHz. The CPU cores run at 2.6 GHz (base clock speed) Boosting up to 5.0 GHz and the likely all-core Boost frequency is 4.3 GHz. Hyper-Threading is enabled, allowing two threads to run simultaneously on each core.
Intel Tiger Lake:
i7-11800H: Tiger Lake (H45 series) based high end octa-core SoC for gaming laptops and workstations. The eight CPU cores run at 2.3 GHz to 4.6 GHz. The integrated UHD Graphics GPU offers 32 EUs at up to 1.45 GHz. The chip is manufactured on the second-gen 10 nm Intel SuperFin process.

14 inch display size represents a middle ground between the small subnotebook formats and the screens of the standard 15 inch laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, provides good resolutions with usable detail sizes, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact.
In the past, 14-inch devices were very rare, but now they are the standard for laptops after the 15-inchers.
