The Acemagic N3A is a mini PC and NAS hybrid that has been newly presented. It features an old AMD processor that can smoothly handle day-to-day tasks, and the system has four SATA drive bays and two M.2 SSD slots.

Acemagic has introduced a couple of new systems, and the N3A is one of them. It's a hybrid between a mini PC and NAS, but it seems that the company has designed it to be more of the latter than the former.

To be specific, there are four SATA drive bays and two M.2 SSD slots. Among them, the former ones can hold "high-capacity" 3.5-inch HDDs (8TB WD Red NAS HDD curr. $194.99 on Amazon), while the latter slots can be equipped with NVMe drives for cache configurations or high-speed storage needs.

There's support for up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM running in dual-channel mode, and, according to Acemagic, this provides ample headroom for heavy-load tasks. With the Gigabit Ethernet interface, the Acemagic N3A promises smooth multi-device access and cross-platform file sharing.

Under the hood, there's an AMD Ryzen 7 3750H, a 4-core processor from the Picasso lineup. While it's an old CPU, it's still capable of smoothly handling day-to-day tasks with ease. It should also be more than good enough for using the mini PC as a NAS.

Speaking of which, in the announcement, Acemagic didn't clarify whether the N3A will ship with a customized NAS-focused OS. The company did, however, hint that there will be a good number of ports, including a 4K 60Hz display out interface. There's no word on when this hybrid mini PC will be available to purchase, but it's expected to make a proper debut soon. As for the price, given the old AMD APU, the system should have an affordable launch tag.
