AOC unveils the AGON QHD curved gaming monitor with support for AMD FreeSync
AOC has introduced the Agon AG322QCX — a 32-inch curved QHD gaming monitor. AOC's Agon series cater to the enthusiast gamer segment and the AG322QCX fits right in alongside the likes of the previously announced Agon AG352UCG, which is a 35-inch curved monitor with a 100Hz refresh rate and support for NVIDIA G-Sync.
The Agon AG322QCX features a 2560x1440 resolution screen with a refresh rate of 144Hz and a 4ms response time. The curvature of the screen is 1800R (translates to a curvature radius of 1800mm), which enables immersive gaming and entertainment. The monitor supports AMD's FreeSync technology, which syncs the display's refresh rate with the GPU to eliminate screen-tearing and input lag. AOC has partnered with Team Liquid, a professional eSports organization, as the monitor OEM of choice for their eSports tournaments.
The monitor also features technologies that aim to reduce eye fatigue during long gaming sessions. It comes with proprietary technologies such as Shadow Control and FlickerFree. Shadow Control allows for adjusting shadow levels to increase contrast in darker areas of the image without affecting the rest of the image while FlickerFree reduces eye strain by reducing on-screen flicker. There is also a Low Blue Light mode that reduces blue wavelength emission without much sacrifice in color quality.
With a low response time, high refresh rate, support for AMD FreeSync and other AOC technologies, the Agon AG322QCX ticks all the boxes for a modern gaming monitor. The QHD curved display ensures an immersive multimedia experience. The Agon AG322QCX can be purchased from Microcenter for US$429.99 MSRP.
