AOC launches Agon AG251FZ monitor with 1 ms response time and 240 Hz refresh rate
The PC gaming market is a lucrative marketspace even in the face of stagnating PC sales. Accessories like mice, keyboards, and monitors are often sold at a premium with high-end features catered to the gaming crowd.
The upcoming 24.5-inch AOC Agon AG251FZ is a gaming monitor with impressive specifications including a refresh rate of 240 Hz and a display response time of only 1 ms. Adaptive Sync will reduce screen tearing while the ergonomic Ergo Dial stand will allow for easy height, swivel, and pivot adjustments. The screen can rotate 90 degrees for use in Portrait mode when appropriate and a carrying grip on the back of the monitor should make transporting easier.
Other features include a low blue light option to reduce eyestrain and a low input lag mode for fast-pace gaming. A Shadow Control option brightens darkened areas of the image without affecting other parts of the screen while the QuickSwitch controller will save customizable display presets depending on the game.
The Agon AG251FZ is launching this coming January 2017 for a retail price of about 500 Euros. Unfortunately, there appears to be no other native resolution options outside of 1080p for now.
