Acer has launched a new lineup of monitors aimed at business users with features including QHD resolution options, smart functions to increase productivity, and full sRGB color coverage. The manufacturer is encouraging multi-monitor setups between these displays due to their narrow bezels and the built-in multi-stream technology for easily expanding across three screens.
The 27-inch BE270U and B270UA have native resolutions of 2560 x 1440 pixels each while the 23.8-inch BE240Y is a more standard 1080p screen. The BE240Y and BE270U are now available for 300 Euros and 580 Euros, respectively, while the BE270UA is expected to come early next year.
The BE0 series of monitors have 100 percent sRGB coverage and a 6-axis color adjustment. Maximum backlight brightness is 250 nits for the BE240Y while the larger BE270U and BE270UA displays are each at 350 nits. Contrast ratio is otherwise identical between these displays at 1000:1 with a 6 ms response time.
Other features for the BE series include DisplayPort 1.2, mini-DisplayPort, 5x USB 3.0 ports, and 2x HDMI ports capable of MHL for directly connecting to supported smartphones. The BE270UA, however, also throws in a USB 3.1 Type-C port to separate it from the BE270U. Unfortunately, its official specifications do not specify Thunderbolt 3 compatibility.
Acer's "EyeProtect" software filters blue light to reduce both flickering and glare while the ergonomic stands on these monitors can tilt (-5 to 35 degrees), rise (up to 150 mm), or rotate (90 degrees for Portrait mode).
