AMD Radeon RX 6750 GRE arrives from US$269 with promise of 1440p gaming at high quality settings
AMD has presented two versions of the Radeon RX 6750 GRE, an acronym that the company claims is short for Golden Rabbit Edition. In short, the pair are cheaper alternatives to the Radeon RX 6750 XT, which is well over a year old at this point. In short, AMD has created 10 GB and 12 GB VRAM variants, although more differences exist between the pair than their names suggest.
Specifically, the Radeon RX 6750 GRE 10 GB makes do with 36 Compute Units (CUs), a 320 GB/s memory bandwidth and a 170 W total board power (TBP). By contrast, the Radeon RX 6750 GRE 12 GB offers 40 CUs, a 230 W TBP and a 380 GB/s memory bandwidth, in part thanks to a wider 192-bit memory interface. Also, the 12 GB model has 16 MB more Infinity Cache than its 10 GB counterpart, as well as higher boost and game clock speeds.
According to AMD, both Radeon RX 6750 GRE cards rank between the Radeon RX 7600 and Radeon RX 7700 XT in 1440p games at high-quality settings. The company has sought to highlight the benefits of using 12 GB of VRAM too, thus distinguishing the Radeon RX 6750 GRE pair from NVIDIA's alternatives like the GeForce RTX 4060. Both Radeon RX 6750 GRE models will be available from October 18, with US$20 separating the pair at US$269 for the 10 GB model and US$289 for its 12 GB counterpart.
