We reported on the Athlon 300GE and 320GE back in May, and now it seems the former has made another appearance online, being benchmarked in a test specifically designed for high-performance systems that will be used to display graphics at 4K resolutions. Considering the test, it’s hardly shocking that the poor low-performance APU could only drum up 269 points.
The processor information section for the Fire Strike Ultra record reveals the AMD Athlon 300GE has a reported core clock of 3.4 GHz, seemingly confirming the specifications leak from a few months ago. With just two cores and four threads, the Athlon 300GE is destined for budget systems with low performance requirements and low power consumption.
Unfortunately, the entry for the Athlon 300GE doesn’t reveal too much about the integrated GPU. The APU will come with Radeon Vega Graphics, but it has yet to be confirmed whether this will be the low-end Vega 3 GPU or a new SKU that hasn’t been revealed, such as the rumored Vega 9 solution.
