Another LiDAR-equipped robot mower is set to hit the market in time for the 2026 gardening season. By utilising LiDAR and AI vision technology, the Keenmow K1 eliminates the need for perimeter wires and RTK antennas. Following the latest industry trends, it is available from just €766/$899.

The Keenmow K1 is the latest addition to the growing market for wireless robot lawn mowers. The device was launched on Kickstarter today, where early supporters can secure a unit starting at $899 (€766). According to the manufacturer, this represents a 55% discount off the eventual MSRP of $1,999, though backers should be aware of the usual risks associated with crowdfunding.

Shipping is scheduled to begin in May 2026. In line with current industry trends, the Keenon-developed K1 does not require a perimeter wire or an RTK antenna. Instead, it utilizes LiDAR navigation—a technology also seen in other 2026 models from brands like Ecovacs, Navimow, Dreame and Roborock.

This laser technology is paired with 'AI Vision Fusion', which utilises a 150° RGB camera that is also used for obstacle detection. Although the integrated front LED enables operation at night, mowing after dark is generally discouraged in order to protect local wildlife, such as hedgehogs. The mower can navigate narrow passages as tight as 80 cm and handle inclines of up to 50% (27°).

The K1 is technically designed for lawns up to 1,500 m², with a mowing performance of up to 300 m² per hour. It has a 22 cm cutting deck with five blades and the cutting height is adjustable between 20 and 70 mm. The mower is powered by a 105 Wh battery, offering approximately 120 minutes of runtime and a recharge time of 100 minutes. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 4G.
