Aqara releases new smart home hub with integrated presence sensor

The Aqara Thermostat Hub W200 has been released in the US. This product, shown at CES 2026 at the start of the year, is aimed primarily at users of Apple Home, though Matter should enable it to work with many smart home ecosystems.
The W200 is a 4-in-1 wall-mounted smart thermostat, which can also act as a broader smart home hub. The device has a 4-inch touchscreen and is marketed as compatible with “most" HVAC systems. Aqara states that it is one of the first devices of its kind to support Apple’s Adaptive Temperature and Clean Energy Guidance. This feature can be used to automatically adjust the heating in your home based on predicted or detected occupancy, or to optimize for clean energy sources. It can detect human presence using the integrated mmWave sensor, which is also used to automatically activate the display.
As well as acting as a temperature control hub, the Aqara W200 can also be sysed to view a live video stream from a connected device like a video doorbell. The device supports dual-band Wi-Fi, Thread, Zigbee and Matter, and works with a range of Apple devices like the iPhone, Apple Watch, HomePod and Apple TV.
You can now buy the Aqara Thermostat Hub W200 at the brand’s online US store and via Amazon for $159.99. From September 2026, the Aqara Thermostat Hub W200 Matter Kit will be available at the Apple store for $169.99.
