Anker Solix Solarbank 4 E5000 Pro: Initial details emerge for new balcony storage system

Yesterday, Anker Solix unveiled its XXL home storage system, the Solarbank Max AC, at an event in Amsterdam. Pre-orders are set to open in late May. We had hoped to receive specific details about the fourth-generation Solarbank for balcony solar systems at the event, but unfortunately that was not the case. However, following the event, the first details about the successor to last year's Solarbank 3 Pro have emerged.
According to Appgefahren and other sources, these details were found in the datasheet for the new Anker Solix Smart Meter Gen 2. Anker Solix introduced the new Smart Meter alongside the Solarbank Max AC yesterday as a significantly more compact successor to the first generation.
The datasheet explicitly states that the Anker Solix Smart Meter Gen 2 is compatible with the Anker Solix Solarbank 4 E5000 Pro. This is the first official confirmation from Anker Solix regarding the new fourth-generation Solarbank. Technical details aside from compatibility with the second-generation Smart Meter (and almost certainly the first generation) are not yet known. However, the name suggests an expandable capacity of around 5 kWh.
For comparison, the current Solarbank 3 Pro has the 'E2700' designation and offers 2,688 Wh, or almost 2.7 kWh. Any other features of the Anker Solix Solarbank 4 E5000 Pro remain speculative for now. If Anker Solix follows industry trends, as is to be expected, we can likely anticipate a higher maximum output power, similar to that of the display-equipped Solarbank Max AC.
While the current Solarbank 3 Pro can feed up to 1,200 W into the home grid, competitors such as the Zendure Solarflow 2400 Pro offer double that. It is worth noting, however, that certain rules might apply in some countries, such as the 800 W legal limit for 'balcony power plants' in Germany.
It seems that the launch of the Anker Solix Solarbank 4 E5000 Pro is slowly approaching. We recommend that fans keep their eyes peeled over the next few weeks. According to rumours circulating within the community, the release could happen as early as next month.
