Free Quake campaign with 19 new levels released for its 30th anniversary

It’s been over 30 years since the original Quake came out, and to celebrate the occasion, MachineGames and id Software have released a new episode called Dawn of the Machine. It is a free campaign that adds to the previously released Dimension of the Past and Dimension of the Machine episodes.
Dawn of the Machine includes 19 new levels with new weapon variants, new enemies, a replayable episode loop, new secret paths, persistent health and ammo upgrades, and more. There is also a new soundtrack and Deathmatch map. Dawn of the Machine is available to all Quake owners for free as an add-on to the 2021 remaster.
The episode also brings new achievements and several fixes such as weapon bobbing effects, reduced memory usage for menus, and more.
All platforms, including Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC (via Steam and Xbox Store), Game Pass, Steam, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 (via backwards compatibility), PS5, and PS4, can download the campaign today. Notably, the GOG and Epic Games Store versions of the game have not received the update yet.
