iQOO 11 series is backed to launch as premium Android smartphones with "world-first" display specs
iQOO is a performance-based sub-brand of Vivo that often strives to stay ahead of its better-known competition with top-end display specs, especially in its flagships. Now, it claims to have gone even farther in pursuit of gaming smartphone supremacy in its e5late 2022 onslaught on the Android market.
The company has announced that the 10-series' successors will upgrade to 2K displays with 144Hz refresh rates. Furthermore, these panels will step up to E6 technology from Samsung, already touted to boost their brightness to a potentially impressive 1,800 nits and their PWM dimming to 1,440Hz.
iQOO also claims to have prepared the advanced type of variable refresh rate that adjusts to different areas of the screen according to their contents; then again, it has not confirmed whether it can drop to the minimum of 1Hz in some potentially battery-conserving situations as yet.
Then again, the brand has confirmed the inclusion of an "XDR Engine" and a new in-house color-correction algorithm, conferred by the V2 chipset that augments the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 of the 11 series.
iQOO has hinted that these specs will be available in the vanilla 11 as well as the top-end 11 Pro, although we may have to wait until their formal December 2, 2022 debut to find out for sure.
