Xiaomi has unveiled two new laptops under its Mi Notebook Pro range. Both come with Intel Tiger Lake-H processors and dedicated GPUs, but the revised Mi Notebook Pro 15 has a 3.5K OLED display. The Mi Notebook Pro 14 is no slouch in this department either, thanks to its 120 Hz IPS panel.

Xiaomi has introduced two new Mi Notebook Pro laptops, dovetailing the Mi Mix Fold that the company also announced today. The company's new laptops feature a lot of the same hardware, but the pair differ in key areas. Unfortunately, it is unknown if Xiaomi plans to release the Mi Notebook Pro 14 or Mi Notebook Pro 15 globally. Typically, Xiaomi reserves its more premium laptops for China, although it also releases some devices in markets like India.

In terms of similarities, the Mi Notebook Pro 14 and Mi Notebook Pro 15 share a choice between the Intel Core i5-11300H and Core i7-11370H. These processors come with an NVIDIA GeForce MX450 GPU too, but the Core i5 edition is also available without a dedicated GPU. Both machines are Intel Evo certified, for reference. Similarly, Xiaomi will sell the pair with 16 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM and a 512 GB PCIe SSD.

Unsurprisingly, the Mi Notebook Pro 15 is larger and heavier than its 14-inch sibling. Specifically, the former measures 348.4 mm x 237.5 x 15.9 mm and weighs 1.8 kg, while the smaller model comes in at 315.6 × 220.4 × 15.9 mm and 1.5 kg. However, the Mi Notebook Pro 15 has an OLED display that resolves at 3.5K (3,456 x 2,160 pixels), which is a much higher resolution than the 1600p and IPS panel in the Mi Notebook Pro 14.

Both are 16:10 panels, but the Mi Notebook Pro 15's reaches 400 nits, 100 nits brighter than the Mi Notebook Pro 14's. The Mi Notebook Pro 15 has thinner bezels too, albeit it falls short of the Mi Notebook Pro 14's 120 Hz peak refresh rate. By contrast, the Mi Notebook Pro 15 can only reach 60 Hz.

The Mi Notebook Pro 14 starts at CNY 5,299 (~US$806), while the Mi Notebook Pro 15 comes in at CNY 6,499 (~US$989). We would expect third-party retailers to include a surcharge for both models though, so you may struggle to find either of Xiaomi's new laptops for the prices quoted on its Chinese website.
