XMG's Apex 15 MAX laptop upgrades to Ryzen 5000X processors and a 240Hz display
Schenker's high-performance brand XMG has once again updated its Apex 15 laptop. This early-2022 (or E22) version is also called the MAX variant, probably due to its new processors. Unlike its mid-2021 (M21) predecessor, it takes desktop-grade AMD CPUs up once again.
This new version boasts Ryzen platforms that can be configured up to the 9 5950X, which drive a 15.6-inch FHD IPS display with an upgraded 240Hz refresh rate. It is sustained by a choice of RTX 3060 or 3070 graphics, and can be configured with up to 64 GB of DDR4 RAM.
The Schenker XMG Apex 15 MAX retains its series' rather thick, yet relatively light, Clevo-esque chassis. Then agian, its HDMI port upgrades to the 2.1 standard. It also has a rear-facing USB type-C port with DisplayPort 1.4 and G-SYNC but without Power Delivery. It can be ordered starting at €1,399 (~US$1,475) from Bestware, where it appears to be in stock at the moment.
