The Black Shark 4S Pro is officially the fastest Android smartphone of November 2021. However, its immediate successor might outrun it, as it will launch with Qualcomm's new top-end processor, the Snapdragon 888+. The Xiaomi brand's CEO has hinted that it will combine the SoC with other custom and premium specs to form a mobile gaming powerhouse in 2022.

AnTuTu Benchmark has now released its top 10 Android smartphones by score for November 2021, thereby confirming that the Black Shark 4S Pro remains at the top of these rankings, narrowly beating the RedMagic 6S Pro with a score of just over 875,000.

Both of those chart-topping phones are the latest examples of phones from 'gaming' brands, meaning they boost their typically top-end processors with additional edge-honing specs geared at the fastest UX possible. The 4S Pro does so with the Snapdragon 888+; however, its newly-official successor may outdo it with the 8 Gen 1 instead.

Black Shark's CEO, Luo Yew Chow, has also hinted that this possible 5-series flagship might reprise the custom SSD storage chips with UFS 3.1 speeds seen in the 4S Pro. Furthermore, the executive has also now intimated that the brand's next top-end "gaming weapon" will debut with "an innovation that has never been seen in the entire mobile phone industry!"

Therefore, the 8 Gen 1-powered iteration of the Black Shark line could indeed break Android speed charts in 2022. Then again, the Xiaomi subsidiary has yet to set a launch date for the device in question.
