Microsoft has announced a new feature exclusive to Microsoft Edge users, Clarity Boost, which enhances the visual quality of Xbox Cloud Gaming streams. Clarity Boost is the newest optimisation feature revealed by the company and is available on the most recent version of the Microsoft Edge Canary build.

Microsoft has revealed that its Xbox Cloud Gaming Division is working together with Microsoft Edge developers to enhance the cloud gaming experience when utilising the Edge browser. The Program Manager at Xbox proclaimed that exclusive optimisations built into the Edge browser maximise the visuals and gameplay of Xbox game streams from the cloud.

Clarity Boost was identified as one of the newest cloud gaming optimizations featured on the Microsoft Edge Canary build. Clarity Boost bolsters the visual fidelity of the game stream by implementing a series of client-side scaling improvements. Xbox Game Pass subscribers can download Microsoft Edge Canary to test these latest features. Microsoft stated that Clarity Boost will launch to all Edge users in 2022.

To try Clarity Boost, gamers can download the latest Microsoft Edge Canary and then navigate to www.xbox.com/play, login and launch a game. Next, players must select the actions menu and click the Enable Clarity Boost option.
