Halo Infinite tech review video shows the recommended settings for PC
With the official release of Halo Infinite's single player campaign on December 8, Microsoft has another gaming highlight in store just in time for the holidays. Just like the superb open-world racing game Forza Horizon 5, Halo Infinite (from US$59 on Amazon) can be played exclusively on the Microsoft platforms Windows and Xbox.
Digital Foundry has now released its comprehensive tech review video on Halo Infinite, which contains fascinating insights into the technical implementations of the game and also offers recommendations regarding the best settings for the PC version of Halo Infinite. In terms of performance, the reviewers found that the game developed by 343 Industries is more or less surprisingly heavy on the CPU, which is why even a beefy Intel Core i9 10900K struggles to reach a perfect 120 fps, while mid-range processors like the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 cannot keep up with the frame timing required to display a clean and stable 60 fps.
Regarding the best graphics settings in Halo Infinite, the experts from Digital Foundry referred to the quality mode on Xbox Series X, whose PC equivalent apparently is a good compromise between visual fidelity and performance. They recommend a mix between high and ultra settings, which at 1440p require an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super or better. Digital Foundry further recommends enabling the dynamic resolution setting in Halo Infinite. The detailed explanation and analysis of all important PC settings in Halo Infinite are included in the tech review video embedded below.
