Sony has announced pricing and availability for its 2021 TVs. They include the BRAVIA XR MASTER Series A90J, which, as the OEM asserts, integrates its best OLED panel to date. It also has new LED models with 4K and 8K options, including the 100-inch BRAVIA XR X92 now set at US$20,000.

Sony asserts that its 2021 BRAVIA XR TVs have enhanced color and contrast thanks to their high-end, "intelligent" processors, including the new Cognitive Processor XR. They are also Google TVs, and thus have the latest Android-based smart UI and built-in Chromecast functions. The line-up is headlined by the Full Array LED X92 100-inch unit.

Its price has been revealed at US$19,999 - although this makes the rest of its 2021 siblings look reasonable by comparison, even the MASTER Series Z9J LED TVs, set at $8000 and $10,0000 for its 75- and 85-inch SKUs respectively. They are 8K, whereas the XR X95Js are 4K. Sony has announced that their own 85- and 75-inch units are $4,500 and $3000 respectively.

They will not be available until the summer of this year. The much more reasonable X80J 4K LED SKUs are available from now and start at $750 for a 43-inch unit. They and the X85J LED series (starting at $900) have the X1 4K HDR processor, whereas the X90Js have the newer Cognitive Processor XR.

As for Sony's new OLED big screens, the BRAVIA XR A80Js and A90Js feature HDMI 2.1 support and BRAVIA CORE technology. They come in 55- to 85-inch sizes, and start at $2,300 and $3,000 respectively. Many of Sony's latest TVs are or will be available with stores such as Amazon or Best Buy throughout the US in 2021.
