Sony’s WH-1000XM4 active noise-cancelling headphones are widely considered one of the best in its class. Its combination of style, comfort and noise-cancelling performance have also helped become one of best-selling headphones on the market. Until now it has only been available in black or silver, but the company has just announced a new limited edition color it is calling Silent White.
As with the regular colors, the new Silent White WH-1000XMA headphones feature Sony’s proprietary QN1 noise-cancelling processor which has been described as being eerily effective at blocking out outside noise. They also feature Sony’s DSEE Extreme sound enhancement engine which automatically upscales compressed audio in real-time to restore high frequencies. Another feature setting them apart from most competitors is the inclusion of hi-res audio support over Bluetooth using Sony’s LDAC technology.
The new Sony WH-1000XM4 in Silent White is available for pre-order now for US$348 and will start shipping in June.
