Speculation is rife about a Nintendo Direct reportedly slated for late July 2025. Industry insiders believe the presentation will likely happen on July 30, according to Nintendo’s previous track record. While Nintendo is tight-lipped, leaks, rating boards, and rumors are creating hype for the Nintendo Switch 2’s growing game library.
One rumor stands out, however, as it indicates that SEGA and Atlus’s Persona 3 Reload, which initially released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC, could be making its way to the Nintendo Switch 2. The information was shared by reputable leaker ResetEra user lolilolailo, who has a strong track record for accuracy when it comes to Atlus and Sega titles. According to loliolailo, many “obvious ports” are coming and inform users to keep reloading the news feed.
Further rumors suggest that Persona 3 Reload could arrive on the Switch 2 bundled with its $35 Expansion Pass, which includes the "Episode Aigis: The Answer" DLC, along with music tracks and costumes.
Furthermore, Germany’s USK rating board leaked developer THQ Nordic’s SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide, which is rated ages 6+ for “comic violence” and scheduled to release on November 18, 2025, for $39.99. Moreover, a remake of Plants vs. Zombies dubbed “Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted” will reportedly launch on October 23, 2025, for $19.99 via a pre-order leak.
Last but not least, first-party titles may also join the spotlight in the upcoming Nintendo Direct. Notably, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment have both been rated in South Korea and Brazil for ages 12+, but with no exact release dates for now.
Given Nintendo’s track record, the company announces its Nintendo Direct presentations 24 hours in advance, so Persona enthusiasts should keep an eye on July 29. If the rumors prove true, it could be one of the bigger Nintendo Direct announcements for 2025.
