Realme GT Neo 2: Realme's upcoming Redmi K40G rival adopts the OnePlus 9's design as specs are revealed
Realme has reportedly killed off its Narzo series in favor of the Realme GT lineup. The company already released several devices in the new series and is set to launch a new one shortly. Specs and renders of that phone, the Realme GT Neo 2, have now been revealed.
The Realme GT Neo 2 will sport a 6.62" FHD+ 120hz OLED. Under the hood will be a Snapdragon 870, with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage providing solid performance chops. The Realme GT Neo 2 will feature a 64 MP main camera, joined by an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle shooter and a 2 MP macro camera. At its front will be a 16 MP selfie shooter. A 5000 mAh battery will provide juice.
OnePlus gave up on being an independent company a while ago, returning to OPPO's care for the most part. It shows on the Realme GT Neo 2. Leaked renders of the phone depict it looking quite similar to the OnePlus 9 series. That makes sense seeing as Realme is an OPPO sub-brand.
According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the Realme GT Neo 2 is intended to rival the Redmi K40G. The Realme GT Neo and Redmi K40 Gaming already share such a rivalry. The Redmi K40G will similarly adopt a Snapdragon 870 and should be an option for those shopping in the sub-premium price segment.
