Razer has turned its hand to virtual and/or augmented reality (VR/AR) with its latest accessory. Its new Adjustable Head Strap System is custom-made for the Meta Quest 3, and is backed to balance and stabilize the headset for any user, regardless of head size. It also has an optional Facial Interface to enhance comfort and prevent light-bleed.

Clearly undaunted by its last brush with head-mounted technology, Razer is right back in the field with its new Adjustable Head Strap System.

The company claims to have made it based on the expertise gleaned from analyzing "billions" of hours' worth of data in partnership with ResMed, a medical device firm that normally makes CPAP machines and ventilators - as with its predecessor for the Meta Quest 2.

This 2nd-gen version, however, is for the Quest 3 only, and is apparently designed to fit the headset so well it can still go in its charging dock with the Head Strap System on.

Its design and materials are also backed for optimal weight distribution and force dissipation even in cases of prolonged headset use. The new system is also touted to confer these potential advantages on any VR gamer of any head-shape.

The strap itself is priced at $69.99, as is its Facial Interface, made of a hygienic, hypoallergenic material with "Ultra-Thin Textured and Profiled Membranes" apparently engineered "on a microscopic level" to minimize the pressure of wearing the headset to such a degree that it "floats" on the user's skin.

It is also rated to act as a light-seal. The Facial Interface and Adjustable Head Strap are available either separately or bundled together at a price of $139.98 on razer.com from now.
