Philips Hue Calla Large outdoor pedestal light now available in the US

The Philips Hue Calla Large outdoor pedestal light has been officially launched in the US. The model is already available in Europe, where it is known as the Calla Outdoor pedestal, and it joins the smaller Calla Outdoor bollard light. 

The Calla Large outdoor pedestal, like the older Calla Outdoor bollard, offers dimmable white and colored lighting. Users can choose from cool or warm white lighting, with the color temperature adjustable between 2,000 and 6,500K. The 8W LED light source is expected to run for 25,000 hours, delivering 590 lumens brightness at 4,000K or 350 lumens at 2,700K.

You can use the Philips Hue app to remotely control this outdoor light, selecting the color and lighting effects, or setting a timer. It is worth noting that a Philips Hue Bridge is required to access all features. It is IP65-rated, water and dust resistant, with an aluminum casing. Plus, the company suggests that it is easy to install, and the 24-inch (60 cm) power cable can be extended.

The difference between the Calla Large outdoor pedestal and Call Outdoor bollard is the height; the large model is 15.7 inches (~39.9 cm), while the older version is 9.9 inches (~25.1 cm) tall, with both measuring 4.1 inches (~10.4 cm) across.
