The beastly Ryzen AI Max+ 395 "Strix Halo" APU-powered Peladn Y01 mini PC has been fully revealed, boasting discrete-level graphics performance and a massive 128 GB of shared memory. Featuring a 2.4-liter enclosure, the Y01 mini PC is impressively compact as well.

When AMD introduced the Strix Halo family of APUs with the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 at the helm, mini PC enthusiasts were undoubtedly elated. For the first time, a mini PC that can trade blows with full-blown desktop PCs featuring discrete graphics was possible. The Peladn Y01 mini PC aims to do just that, and the company behind it has now revealed everything it has to offer.

The Y01 mini PC will be available with a single APU option for now - the Ryzen AI Max+ 395. Boasting a total of 16 Zen 5 cores and 32 threads, the Strix Halo APU manages to rival the Intel i9-14900HX in overall performance. The Radeon 8060S iGPU is no slouch either, packing 40 CUs to roughly match the performance of an RTX 4070 Laptop GPU. Of course, cooling this behemoth of an APU will be quite the task, and how the Y01's dual fan, triple pipe heatsink will perform remains to be seen.

For now, we do know that the system will allow for three TDP modes via a performance switch - 55 watts, 85 watts, and 120 watts. The Y01 itself measures only 220 x 200 x 56 mm, weighing in at just over 1.3 kg. Considering the performance on offer, the product is undeniably compact. The mini PC will also feature a whopping 128 GB of LPDDR5X-8000 memory, which will, of course, be shared between the CPU and GPU allowing for exciting amounts of VRAM.

Dual M.2 2280 slots are present, one of which is populated by a 2 TB SSD (Samsung 990 Pro curr. $149.99 on Amazon). Connectivity options are plenty, including dual USB4, dual USB 2.0, triple USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, HDMI 2.1, SD (UHS-II), DisplayPort 1.4, dual 3.5 mm, as well as a single 2.5 G Ethernet port. WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 are also supported.

The Peladn Y01 is not yet available for single-order customers, but the company has started accepting bulk orders priced at $1850 apiece, as spotted by VideoCardz. It is unclear when individual customers will be able to get their hands on the system, but it is expected to happen soon enough.
